MISSION STATEMENT:
We, the pro-active members of the Filipino Ministry of the Holy Name Of Jesus Catholic Community, sharing equal dignity with larger church community, called to be one body, united with our parish and the Diocese of San Bernardino in worshipping and serving God, are committed to foster evangelization, Family Life, Faith Formation for our children, and outreach program to reach out all those who are still outside the community to join and share our commitment for the pursuit of justice, peace, integrity of creation and Christian unity.
PURPOSE:
The Filipino Ministry is to assist the Priest, Pastoral Coordinator and parish personnel of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community in their pastoral outreach program to the Filipino community, to facilitate inculturation and integration to the larger church community,allowing Filipino culture and religious values to spread out, enrich and strengthen the faith by promoting the values of:
1. "Maka-Diyos" (Pro-God),
2. "Maka-tao"(Pro-people),
3. "Makabayan" (Patriotic),
4. "Makabuhay" (Pro- LIfe), and
5. "Makakalikasan" (Pro- creation).
OBJECTIVES:
1. To collaborate with the parish's groups in developing and emplementing ministries/ programs relevant to the mission of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community;
2. To promote activities which will encourage Filipinos to participate in the different ministries/programs of the parish;
3. To foster Filipino faith communities in accordance with the Filipino family values and meaningful worship;
4. To promote and hold dialogues and solidarity meetings with other cultures/ ethnic communities in the parish and in the larger church community;
5. To facilitate and hold faith and value formation trainings and activities for children and youth groups;
6. To promote the value of stewardship among members from different age levels and its important role in the life of a Christian Community and the church.
